MinerAI was built for firms that hold confidential and privileged material. Privacy isn’t a setting you switch on — it’s the default, and it’s enforced by how the product is built.
Read-only source files
Your original documents are opened read-only and indexed in place. MinerAI builds its own private index alongside them and never modifies the source archive.
Cite-only by construction
Outputs cite only passages that exist in your corpus. Any wording that can’t be matched back to a real source is flagged — so a reviewer always knows exactly what is and isn’t supported.
Tamper-evident audit log
Every run produces a verifiable record binding the retrieved passages, the model used, and the final output. Runs can be independently replayed to confirm nothing has drifted or been altered.
Guarantees, not promises
Properties enforced in code — and tested.
The behaviours firms rely on aren’t left to prompt instructions or good intentions. They’re structural properties of the product, each backed by automated tests that fail the build if the behaviour ever changes.
Grounding
Citations can be flagged as unsupported, but the system can never invent one. It only ever demotes a claim, never fabricates.
Two outcomes only
A query yields either a grounded answer or an explicit “not enough to answer.” There is no third path where unsupported text flows through.
Deterministic replay
The same inputs reproduce the same decisions, so any run can be re-checked later byte for byte.
Always an audit trail
A record is rendered for every run — even if retrieval found nothing or a step failed partway through.
Non-destructive upgrades
Re-indexing under a new model adds to the index rather than overwriting it, so historical analysis stays reproducible.
Privacy-safe telemetry
Diagnostics that can’t leak your work.
MinerAI keeps detailed operational logs so you can diagnose and tune its behaviour — but those logs are designed to be safe by construction. They record identifiers, counts, and timings only. Your query text, document contents, and file paths are never written to a diagnostic record.
Honest about its limits
It tells you when the answer isn’t there.
When your archive doesn’t contain enough to support an answer, MinerAI reports the gap instead of filling it with plausible-sounding text. For professional work product, knowing the limits of the evidence is as important as the evidence itself.
Private even when connected
The cloud layer never sees your files.
The optional Case Family Tree reference layer broadens your legal coverage without widening your exposure. Even connected, only your search terms reach the external lookup — never your documents, and never your index.
